You are welcome to contact us to arrange to come into school to look around, to meet our staff and experience the feel of school life at St Leonard’s. The School Office will arrange this or answer any questions you may have. All admissions to St Leonard’s are co-ordinated by Oxfordshire County Council except for our Nursery, details of which can be found here.

How To Apply

Starting School

Children can start in our Reception Class from the September after they turn 4 years old. Please see our Reception page for details on when and how to apply.

In Year Applications

Children that will join us during the academic year through moving schools or moving from abroad, must apply to Oxfordshire County Council School Admissions. When you have been contacted by them to offer you a place, you should contact our School Office to arrange a visit with one of our Senior Leaders. You will then be given a start date and an application pack to be completed before they start.

Secondary School Applications

When children are in Year 6 you will be required to apply for your choice of Secondary School. Applications usually open at the beginning of September with the deadline at the end of October. Details of when and how to apply can be found here.

As a local authority school we are required by law to follow the guidelines set down by Oxfordshire’s admissions policy.  Please follow the links below for more information:

Please Note  – attendance at the Nursery class does not give automatic admission to the primary school. You must apply for a place in Reception through the normal procedures.
